These Plans have been called Lutterworth East and will see the town constructed on a stretch of land covering 504 acres and running from north of Bitteswell to south of Misterton. If it goes ahead, the development would be roughly the same in scale as around 250 football pitches, with the motorway bridge and a new road connecting it to Lutterworth.
Among the facilities that would be included in the development are a primary school and country park, with the plans currently under consideration by Harborough District Council. It would form part of the Local Plan put together by the council.
Some of the land in the chosen development area is not considered to be useable, as it has protected sections and is at risk of flooding, but this still leaves a significant portion that could be deployed.
A document published by the council and looking at the proposal states that:
“Ensuring good connectivity with Lutterworth, addressing flooding issues and protecting the SSSI all need further investigation.”
Should the council decide to move forward with the construction of the new town, the different facilities located there will be able to call on the help of brochure printers when it comes to advertising.
