The current growth proposals for Lutterworth are favoured by Leicestershire County Council. However, much of the space in question is being used for agricultural purposes at the moment. Graphic design is important in several economic sectors where planning is necessary. Bryon Rhodes, the deputy leader at Leicestershire County Council, told the Leicester Mercury:
“We remain the lowest funded county in the country and the development would also generate vital income for front line services, including those supporting vulnerable people.”
Councillor Rhodes is keen to engage with the public on the details of the scheme. Committed to consultation, Leicestershire County Council would appreciate if individuals took an interest in the initiative and participated in the process. People will have the opportunity to express their opinions, while questions will be answered.
More than 2,500 homes would be created if the plans become reality. It is envisaged that fresh employment sites could also be brought into play.
If the settlement is extended across the motorway, not all of the land will be used for housing. The hope is that schools, health provision and social infrastructure could help to deliver a sustainable community.
