The company’s in-house maintenance specialists carried out a week-long redecoration project on the Mill Lane site, as part of a £223m companywide investment plan that will see an additional 14 hotels built.
The Lutterworth Travelodge was built in 2005 and has 40 rooms.
According to the Harborough Mail, manager Andrew Martin said:
“We are very excited to have benefitted from this investment. The work was carried out with no disturbance to our day to day operation and the feedback we have received from customers has been outstanding.
“Everyone loves the new warm, contemporary feel of our new room and there is no doubt the hero of the room is definitely the Travelodge Dreamer bed.”
Speaking further, Martin said that demand for budget accommodation is increasing in the area, and that the new designs allow the hotel to offer more value in the local market.
When hotels undergo significant redesigns, they often update their printed material, outsourcing for brochure and catalogue printing in Lutterworth and other areas.
Rooms in the hotel have been kitted out with the Travelodge Dreamer, which is made by luxury mattress firm Sleepeezee. Other new features include bigger desks, new carpets and additional artwork.
The Lutterworth Travelodge isn’t the firm’s only hotel to undergo a significant overhaul in recent weeks; a 69-room site in Bradford was also refurbished.
The company welcomed Peter Gowers as its new CEO earlier this month. He replaces Grant Hearn, who has been with Travelodge since 2003.
