Lutterworth Golf Club to host comedy festival

The BIG Weekend comedy festival will be using a venue in Lutterworth as part of the event, which takes place next year.

Lutterworth Golf Club will host a number of comedians as pert of the festival, which will be sponsored by Harborough District Council. Events such as this often use Print shops to help with their marketing campaigns. Councillor Phil King told the Harborough Mail:

“We were overwhelmed by the success of the 2019 event which saw sell-out shows across the town and positive economic impact to the district.”

Councillor King is the current leader at Harborough District Council and is pleased that the festival will be bigger in 2020 than it was in its first year. He observed that more venues will be participating in the fun than 2019 and noted that Lutterworth would benefit as a result.

Harborough District Council and its BIG Weekend secured a Liberty Award during the course of the Leicester Comedy Festival Awards 2019. This accolade was given to the BIG Weekend for the spirit which was generated at the diverse shows.

Geoff Rowe is the director of the festival and he paid tribute to the quality of the line-up. In particular, he is excited at the prospect of interviewing the celebrity, Arthur Smith. Lost Voice Guy, Barbara Nice and Paul Sinha are all poised to make distinctive contributions to the festival this time around.

The festival is scheduled for between February 13th and February 17th, 2020.
