The local development plan for the Lutterworth area received approval from an inspector recently.
The independent inspector lent their support to the local plan of Harborough District Council, which also covers Lutterworth and Market Harborough. The new plan is evidence-based and focuses on development over the next 12 years. Graphic design can be a useful tool for producing various planning documents.
It was decided that modifications will be made to the local plan. On April 25th, the altered plan will be debated by the executive of the council.
Five days later, the council is going to discuss the issues based on the recommendations of the executive group. This process will lead to the decision on whether or not to adopt the specific proposals.
Any approach must bear in mind the details of the National Planning Policy Framework. Local Plans are of importance because they consider future housing need. The hope is that a comprehensive plan should anticipate the demand for schools, hospitals and transport infrastructure. Councils are obliged to put space aside for enterprise too. Any ideas that do not fit in with a local plan can simply be rejected.
In the absence of an effective local plan, development might be inappropriate or unsustainable. This can irritate officials and residents and it may also allow heritage to be damaged.Get a Free Quote for Plans
