The Leicester Tigers scheme is based around the potential of a new hotel. A development firm, Marshall Commercial Development Projects Ltd, has exchanged contracts with the club. The shared vision includes a car park. Graphic design can be helpful with the planning stages of various developments. Lutterworth can gain from economic development in the region.
Over £20 million could be invested in the construction of the hotel. However, the proposals will only be implemented with the consent of Leicester City Council, and if approved, building work could start in the summer of next year.
Simon Cohen, the chief executive at Leicester Tigers, explained:
“Tigers are committed to funding the first team to the highest possible level, so we have decided to work with a development partner for the hotel project – much as we would have liked to have the millions to build it ourselves.”
Pick Everard, a construction consultancy, will oversee the building process. This business is based in Leicestershire and is national in scope. The enterprise has already played an important role on behalf of the club in relation to the delivery of original designs.
On completion, the hotel would include a fan zone, a restaurant and a business centre. It should also feature a retail area and a fifth-floor bar.
