Housing plan for Lutterworth Road

A scheme for housing in Lutterworth Road is being considered by the local authorities.

The homes in question may be built near Burbage and Lutterworth. If the new Lutterworth Road estate is completed, it will include around 33 affordable units. Brochure printing can be useful when marketing accommodation, especially when there is local demand for appropriate housing solutions.

It seems that the site under discussion is almost nine hectares in size. The idea is that 165 homes could fit between the M69 and Burbage. While the original plan envisaged the building of 170 homes, there was some community-based objection to that level of ambition.

Delivery of a mixture of housing tenure and size is central to the overall vision. The hope is that a cohesive community can be established. Redrow recently established an adjacent estate that consists of 72 residences.

Before the planning application was made, the developer consulted with local people. Burbage Parish Council assisted Davidsons with this process. Davidsons elected to leaflet the relevant area and a meeting was hosted in relation to the specific proposals.

During the course of last year, the regeneration of Burbage moved higher up the agenda. The construction of numerous industrial units is a possibility. These buildings would be located in the proximity of the A5. Watling Drive might provide straightforward access to this commercial initiative. However, local consent to this potential transformation is not guaranteed.
