Lutterworth Town enjoyed a thumping victory in their last home Leicestershire Senior League Premier Division match of the calendar year, defeating Allexton and New Parks by a remarkable 11 goals to nil.
The side has remained undefeated at home since the spring and this latest goal-fest came in the wake of an equally impressive 5-1 cup win over Aylestone Park the week before. The conditions were less than ideal, with the pitch having been rendered heavy and slippery by rain and it was Allexton that seemed to adjust better to this at the start.
Allexton went on the attack from the kick-off, but the Lutterworth defence proved up to the task of repelling everything, before the home side gradually took control of proceedings. Following a sustained period of pressure, they finally took the lead with a goal by Shaquille O’Neill Brooks.
By halftime the game was over, as Lutterworth Town had raced into a four-goal lead and all of Allexton’s attempts to peg them back after the break were in vain. The away team’s need to push forward led to gaps at the back, which the home team exploited to run riot with a further seven goals.
Lutterworth Town now lead the division and have five matches in hand on their rivals. Local football teams often use Print companies for a variety of uses from match day tickets to programmes.Get a Free Quote for Print
