This wine fair takes place in Lutterworth every year and is a popular event on the calendar for residents of the town. As well as being an opportunity for people to explore different wines, it also serves as a way of raising cash for local organisations. This year, the beneficiary was Blooming Lutterworth, which was presented with a cheque worth £600 during the event on Sunday, October 10th.
This organisation is made up of enthusiastic gardeners who volunteer to look after the various planters and troughs in the centre of the town, as well as its Memorial Gardens. Logo Design services in the area can help community groups like this develop a memorable brand.
It was in the scenic surroundings of these gardens that Lynn Jackson from the group was presented with the cheque. Speaking to Warwickshire World, the organiser of the wine fair, Tony Hirons, said that funds from previous years had gone towards Mayoral appeals, adding:
“But this year we decided that Blooming Lutterworth are doing such a wonderful job promoting Lutterworth that they would be a worthy cause to support.”
He concluded by pointing out that this group depend on donations to fund their work.
