Whistl is among the largest logistics companies in the world, and it has a base at Magna Park, Lutterworth. Now, it is looking to increase the size of that facility, at a cost of £6 million.
The firm is hoping to add a further 160,000 sq ft to the building, which is a fulfilment centre. This is due to the level of customer demand for items such as footwear and other pieces of clothing.
The Plans will be achieved through construction of a mezzanine, which will incorporate several floors. Each of these is expected to provide roughly 40,000 sq ft of extra space. Once it is up and running, the company should be able to process 250,000 more items every week.
Whistl first moved into Magna Park three years ago. All of the companies that are based within it can turn to Lutterworth shops that offer business card printing, if they need supplies for networking events.
Speaking to a local source, Nick Wells from Whistl said:
“We are excited by the opportunity we have through this investment in extra capacity to process smaller pick pack items for customers.”
The additional floor space should be available by early 2025.Get a Free Quote for Plans
