The Lutterworth Big Bike Ride has been a fixture on the calendar for a decade now and has brought in more than £30,000 for various good causes during that time. The 2022 event will see competitors given four different cycle routes to choose from, which will vary in distance from 11 miles to 67 miles, so there will be something to suit people of all ages and fitness levels.
This event is put together by Lutterworth Rotary Club; a spokesperson for the organisation told the Rugby Observer that, in the past, the rides had managed to draw more than 600 cyclists, with many opting to take on distances of 60 miles. Organisers will be hoping for a similarly large turnout this time around.
The spokesperson then went on to say:
“The routes are selected to follow quieter country lanes in the beautiful surroundings of rural Leicestershire and Northamptonshire. The long route takes riders on a journey through the Langtons beyond Market Harborough to Eyebrook Reservoir.”

The Lutterworth Big Bike Ride for 2022 is scheduled to get underway at Misterton Hall on the morning of 21st August.
