American Pie singer to headline Lutterworth festival

The man behind the classic 1970s hit ‘American Pie’ has been confirmed as the headline act for a major music festival that takes place each year at a site in Lutterworth.

Singer and songwriter Don McLean is most known to people in the UK for the song ‘Vincent’, about the artist Vincent Van Gogh.

There is a good chance that the audiences for this year’s Long Road Festival will get to hear both of those tunes during his headlining set. The headliner for the other night of the two-day festival will be American singer Russell Dickerson.

The Long Road Festival is focused entirely on Americana, Roots and country music. As with the previous years, the venue for it in 2024 is set to be Stanford Hall, just outside Lutterworth.

Talking to a local source, McLean stated that:
“I am delighted to return to England to perform at the Long Road Festival. Since I have decided to stop doing bus tours of distant destinations, I will still return for special performances.”

Graphic design outlets in Lutterworth can help the organisers of local music festivals like this one create advertising Posters that are colourful and exciting.

Other musicians who have been lined up for the 2024 Long Road Festival include the Red Clay Strays and Brittney Spencer. It is scheduled to be held from 23 to 25 August.
