Tower near Aldgate leases final offices

The City of London’s tallest tower block is now enjoying full occupancy rates, with the confirmation that the final empty office spaces have been leased out.

This skyscraper is situated at 22 Bishopsgate, not far from Aldgate. The developer who constructed it is Axa SA, and this company issued a statement confirming the renting out of the final spaces. They have been leased to RiverStone International, which is being described as a holding firm that buys companies in the insurance sector.

RiverStone has signed a contract to lease the entire fifth floor of the building, with this due to last for 15 years. In total, it will provide the company with floor space that measures 25,000 square feet.

The tower block constructed and owned by Axa SA is 1.2 million square feet in height, which makes it the highest building within the City of London. It has 62 floors and was completed at the end of 2020, despite the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Companies that move into office spaces in the local area will find other useful amenities close by. These include Aldgate shops that offer business card printing.

John O’Driscoll from Axa SA said that demand for places within the tower had gone up significantly since the pandemic ended. He added that additional features that had been incorporated into its design were helping to fuel that demand.
