City of London to welcome US barbecue brands

Two of the biggest US barbecue brands will team up at a hotel in the City of London next month.

La Barbecue and InterStellar BBQ are coming to the UK for a month-long residency. This will take place at the prominent City of London hotel called The Ned, which is located at number 27 Poultry. Both of these eateries are Michelin-starred, and they are sending their top chefs to let Londoners sample the glory of the grill.

Ali Clem is the main attraction for La Barbecue, while John Bates fulfils that role for InterStellar BBQ. Of course, the real star of the show is the food.

At the heart of it will be each restaurant’s key dishes. La Barbecue is known for its chopped cheese sausage and pork ribs that are served with Texas toast on the side. The signature at InterStellar BBQ is pork belly with peach tea glazing, beef short rib and pulled lamb shoulder.

Local people who decide to give the dishes a try will be able to wash them down with cocktails.

The residency runs between 4 September and 4 October.
