The City of London looks set to get a brand-new skyscraper building, with Plans for the construction of another one not far from Aldgate having been submitted to the council for approval.
This building would be constructed at Fenchurch Street, right in the heart of the financial district. It would be a replacement for an existing skyscraper called Fountain House. This building has a place in history, having been among the first skyscrapers to be constructed in the district following the Second World War. It is looking worn out these days though, compared with those that surround it.
The building that would take its place at number 130 is set to feature a unique design, topped off with a roof that looks like a crown. It would be designed in a staggered fashion and would be a total of 31 storeys in height.
One of the benefits for businesses that move into buildings in the area is the presence of other useful services. These can include Aldgate Print shops that offer Corporate Gifts for attracting clients.
The company behind the building proposed for 130 Fenchurch Street is Aviva Investors. It would feature a green terrace on the 20th floor to allow people to look out across the city.
Fountain House is scheduled for demolition, but Plans for the new design to take its place have yet to be accepted.Get a Free Quote for Corporate Gifts Get a Free Quote for Print Get a Free Quote for Plans
