Co-living development to be created near Aldgate
A brand new co-living development is to be created at a site not far from Aldgate, following the news that the City of London has given its approval to the plans.
This development will be created at 150 Minories and will be called Assemblies. The application was submitted by HUB, a property development company. The firm will collaborate on the project with Bridges Fund Management, which is putting up the money for it. The building that has been chosen is currently an office block, so work will have to be carried out to convert it.
Damien Sharkey, the HUB managing director, spoke to Property Wire after the news was announced:
When property developers have new homes in the area to show off, they sometimes find that brochure printing by Aldgate shops can be useful. That is because it can provide them with brochures containing colour pictures of the homes.
Once it has been completed, the Assemblies development will offer a total of 277 homes for co-habitation. There will also be a number of other amenities created as part of the project, including a cafe, a health hub and a park.
A start date has not been revealed.
