Citrus Training is the largest single provider of such courses and assessments in the whole of the UK. It is looking to increase its presence in the South East, Essex and London, with this Dagenham facility being the first step towards this.
Its new training centre will be situated in Freshwater Road, within the Farley House building. It will take the place of the company’s centre in Brentwood and will be a much bigger facility.
The centre is being created at a cost of over £2 million and will be its main base in the London area. Last year, Citrus Training invested in expanding its centre in Leeds, so the company is committed to growth.
This will be a useful new facility for local health, safety, civil engineering and construction firms. Dagenham already has business-friendly amenities like shops that offer business card printing.
Citrus Training executive director Paul Tebbutt told the Romford Recorder:
“By redeveloping this larger site to match our clients’ exact needs, we are providing the space and accessibility required to develop workforces at scale.”
It will offer a range of accredited courses taught in climate-controlled rooms. There will also be spaces for practical training work.
The centre is scheduled to open this autumn.
