Successful launch for new restaurant in Coventry

Las Iguanas, the latest eatery offering in Coventry’s Cathedral Lanes, has revealed that its first day in business was brisk.

It has been estimated that around 300 customers ate at Las Iguanas on the day it opened. Flyer printing in Coventry could be employed by the establishment for advertising purposes.
Andrew Tandy, manager of Las Iguanas, told the Coventry Telegraph:

“Reservations for the coming weekends are filling up fast so I recommend people to book. It’s going very, very well so far...touch wood.”

On opening, Las Iguanas was responsible for the employment of 40 people. The diner is just one of several eating places that will be created within the Broadgate area of the city. A Japanese restaurant will be opened there this autumn, while The Cosy Club is also set to play its part in the bar and restaurant quarter.

Las Iguanas is a chain that started its life in Bristol back in 1991. Since then, the British appetite for Latin American cuisine has fuelled its growth. There are currently about 40 of the restaurants scattered around the country.

Although customers have reportedly been keen to experience Latin American flavours, the chain has revealed that it does make use of a lot of British produce. The chain has confirmed that these local ingredients are combined with those from international sources. This fusion approach, it believes, adds to the authenticity and appeal of the menu.
