Shop in Coventry could be converted into restaurant

A retail unit in Coventry that is currently lying empty could be brought back into use, if Plans to convert it into a restaurant and takeaway are given the go ahead.

The unit in question is situated on Holbrook Lane and has not been used for retail purposes for some time. It takes up the ground floor of the building and the application that has been submitted to Coventry City Council wishes to turn it into an eatery. This would include both restaurant and takeaway facilities, with the application claiming that it will provide benefits for the city.

At the moment, no details have been revealed about who is behind the application. However, it is made clear that the restaurant and takeaway would be a family led business.

According to the Coventry Telegraph, the application goes on to state that:
“The proposal aligns with planning policies, supports local economic growth, and enhances the social and commercial vitality of the Holbrooks.”

When new eateries first open in Coventry, they need to make local people aware of their presence. Promotional flyer printing is a good way to do that.

The application for this eatery says that it has been designed in a way that will limit the disruption for people living in the area. That regards factors like waste management, smells and noise.

A decision date has not been announced.
