A range of previously hidden treasures is set to be unveiled at Croome mansion house in a bid to attract more business.
The house and services manager at Croome, Lucy Hadley, spoke about the unveiling, saying:
“We intend to bring part of the collection back to the house in 2016 after Croome Redefined’s major repair work is complete, but until then we would like to show our visitors some of the best bits from the collection we do have.
"We’ve never brought these out for display before, so we’re very excited about showing our visitors something very special. We will show something different every week and our House Officer and her volunteer team also hope to carry out conservation work on the items too, so visitors can really see what our collection is all about.”
In addition to showcasing these items, the estate will also be running guided tours and offering bird watching and tree observation sessions. A booklet is also being produced to inform visitors about the trees that are part of the grounds of the mansion house. Booklets like this are often used to promote attractions after being created by local brochure printers.
Coventry, Birmingham and Worcester residents often travel to Croome to explore the estate on weekends. The new treasures will be on display until May and more information about the house and the events and attractions can be found on the official website.
