The leading organisation of its type in Coventry’s city-region gives a voice and support to local firms. By appointing top talent, it has increased its capacity to deliver relevant events. Its latest move included the hiring of a policy manager, an events specialist and a membership executive. Business card printing within Coventry could gain from the decision to expand the senior team. Chamber chief executive Louise Bennett said:
“For well over a century, this Chamber has been helping businesses to grow – through recessions, depressions and even war. So we have the foundations and the experience to offer support to companies of every size and every sector.”
Bennett pointed out that the organisation has the ability to provide advice on international trade. It also has the flexibility to offer its members various packages of benefits.
When it comes to the latest appointments, James Ahearne was selected to manage the hub for international trade and Chris Nagel was chosen to direct future marketing. Hazel Pilling will be in charge of membership matters, while Martyne Manning will take charge of policy. The four executives have a great deal of experience on which to draw.
The annual conference of the Chamber takes place in November. This will be an important networking opportunity for the newly appointed individuals.
