Coventry ranked high as student city

The QS Best Student Cities Guide has suggested that the student experience provided by Coventry is superior in comparison to more famous locations.

The report contended that it was better to be a student in Coventry than in cities like Prague, Osaka, Brussels and Pittsburgh. Such a result could be used in advertising for the universities in Coventry and Warwick. Printing services in Coventry could be utilised for this purpose.

Various criteria were used to determine the rankings in the report. They included employer activity, student mix, affordability, and desirability. Coventry did especially well in terms of its employer activity and its student mix. Approximately 33 per cent of Coventry students tend to come from abroad.

Both Coventry University and Warwick University have good academic reputations. In addition, they both put on courses that are relevant to manufacturing. The Coventry course features the topic of automotive design, which is seldom taught.

The perceived desirability of Coventry has been enhanced by a social scene that includes several different activities. Locally accessible music, sport, and art are capable of boosting student wellbeing.

Ian Dunn, who works for Coventry University, has said:

“The city is also highlighted as having a good reputation amongst graduate employers, which is great news for the talented young people who are choosing to come to Coventry to study from all over the world.”
