Coventry Beer Festival pulls both pints and crowds

One of the country's largest beer festivals took place recently in Coventry, pulling in a crowd of nearly 2,000 punters.

Coventry Beer Festival is organised by the local branch of CAMRA, or Campaign for Real Ale. This year's event was held at Spon End rugby stadium, which was chosen especially for the fact that it would be big enough to hold 2,000 revellers. Speaking on behalf of CAMRA before the event, one of the organisers, Mick Madder, said:

“There are so many different beers on offer for different tastes. And you can try them in glasses of a third of a pint, so you don’t have to have a full pint or half - which means you can try even more!”

“We’re all volunteers and we just want to showcase what beers are out there. We’ve used a special agency this year to help us get hold of some different beers.”

Mick went on to explain how there were a number of beers originating from the north of the country which people in the midlands may not have seen before.

This year's festival was bigger and better than ever, with beers coming from brewers across the UK as well as being sourced locally. The festival was extremely popular thanks, in part, to effective promotional activity in the run up to the event. Festivals like this often benefit from advertising using flyer and poster printing.
