Architectural firm celebrates birthday in Coventry

A leading architectural organisation, Coventry-based IDP, recently celebrated 25 years of being in business.

IDP is a firm of national significance and the party it held to mark this milestone involved over 250 people. The well-wishers included friends and clients. Marketing services from Coventry can be used to promote corporate events.

David Blake, the chairperson for IDP, told the Coventry Telegraph:

“Many companies in our industry measure their success by the buildings they have designed, but I prefer to look at the people we have worked with and those we’ve worked for.”

Blake pointed out that reaching a major milestone was a time to reflect. He said that IDP was thinking about its future direction in terms of potential projects. The enterprise has specialised in urban design as well as architecture.

The event was not hosted at the headquarters of IDP in Spon Street, but instead took place at Coventry’s Herbert Art Gallery and Museum.

IDP sponsored a Lego exhibition to entertain everyone. People could get a kick out of looking at models of Coventry Cathedral, Niagara Falls and China’s Great Wall. Those in attendance then had the chance to construct models of their own. A charitable organisation named Fairy Bricks supplied the Lego. This outfit provides ill children with the versatile toy bricks.

The event was given another dimension by The Upsiders. Folk and soul music from this local band enthused guests.
