Real Housewives of Codswallop coming to Clapham
A comic musical that takes a light-hearted look at the world of reality shows is set to come to Clapham next month, in the form of the Real Housewives of Codswallop.
This musical play is the creation of Lise Gaye Wright, who is also the founder of the organisation LGW Musicals. It centres on three women who are aiming to achieve more upscale lifestyles for themselves and was inspired by many of the reality television shows that are currently popular among viewers.
Speaking to Broadway World, Wright stated that:
This show enjoyed a run in Bournemouth last summer, where it was a big hit with theatregoers. Now it will be playing in Clapham, with the Bread and Roses Theatre serving as the venue for it, and those involved will be hoping for a similar response.
Graphic design outlets in Clapham can help with the creation of promotional posters for shows like this, to ensure that they catch the eye of local people.
Audiences will be able to spend time with Majenta and the other housewives from 6th to 8th February.

Speaking to Broadway World, Wright stated that:
“I was fascinated by the popularity of programmes like Made in Chelsea and the Real Housewives of Cheshire and loved creating some exaggerated characters who we have all met – the ones who try desperately to keep up with the Jones’s but who can’t quite pull it off!”
