Outdoor festival to be held near Clapham
An outdoor festival, set to include shows that were planned for the 2020 Edinburgh Fringe, is due to take place near Clapham later in the summer.
The event has been named ‘The New Normal Festival’ and will feature a wide range of performers that would have played this year’s Fringe, had it not been cancelled due to the pandemic. Acts will include The Showstoppers, an improvisation team that have won multiple awards, and Ben Hart, a magician. Musical comediennes Natasha Barnes and Vikki Stone will also perform their new show ‘Funny Gals’ at the festival.
Other highlights are likely to be ‘I Wish My Life Was Like A Musical’, a show that has been laden with awards, and a fresh take on ‘Dad’s Army’ from Jack Lane and David Benson. There will also be a number of performances of Shakespeare, such as ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’, ‘Two Gentlemen of Verona’, ‘The Taming of the Shrew’ and ‘As You Like It’.
