Office block in Clapham sold

A buyer has been found for a block of luxury offices located in Clapham and the purchaser is one of the largest landowners in the whole of Scotland.

The Luma building is situated on Clapham Road and has seven floors of Grade A offices, adding up to a total of 25,000 sq. ft. The new joint owner of the block is Buccleuch Property, which is a company that handles all of the Duke of Buccleuch’s commercial property portfolio.

The other partner in the deal is Wren, a firm of asset managers and property specialists that regularly links up with Buccleuch Property in ventures like this. One of its directors, Chris White, stated that this latest joint acquisition would enhance the partnership between the two companies.

He went on to add that renovation work on the building’s reception had already been completed and that it should re-open later in the month. Companies based within office blocks such as this sometimes make use of places that supply high quality corporate gifts.

Speaking to the Herald, Nick Waugh from Buccleuch Property said:

“This is one of the most exciting buildings in Clapham and provides an interesting opportunity for companies looking to move up or step into the area.”

The exact sum that was paid for the building has not been made public as part of the deal.
