Iconic Clapham pub re-launches
One of the most iconic pubs in the whole of the Clapham area has now officially re-opened its doors to the public, after being closed for months to undergo an extensive renovation.
The Clapham North is a fixture in that part of town, but visitors to the newly re-opened venue may hardly recognise it when they set foot inside. Both floors of the pub and restaurant have undergone a total reinvention and are now home to amenities such as a cocktail bar and an exterior terrace. The walls are now also covered in weird and wonderful art.
The new cocktail bar has been given the name The World’s End, and it boasts a tribute mural of celebrated designer Vivienne Westwood as well as mosaic tiles. In the downstairs area, there are televisions showing sports events and sizeable sofas made of leather.
Not everything about the pub has changed though. The owners have been careful to retain many of the existing elements, such as the fireplace and the exposed brickwork walls.
Promotional pens and similar giveaway items from Clapham shops can help local venues like this pub to advertise, when they have been closed for an extended period.
The new Clapham North is set to be open every day of the week, and is promising that it will be providing exciting live events for its customers in the future.
