Housing development announced near Clapham
Hundreds of brand new homes look set to be constructed at sites not far from Clapham, thanks to a partnership that has been announced by Lambeth Council.
This council has confirmed that it will be joining forces with property developer Vistry Group. This is a partnership that will lead to the construction of 500 homes at a variety of sites throughout the borough. A total of six different pieces of land will be used for the project, which will help to ease the ongoing housing crisis in the area. It has been guaranteed that at least 50% of the homes will be affordable.
The first batch of homes under the scheme will be built at Kennington, with Denby Court having been chosen as the site for them. This part of the scheme will consist of a total of 141 homes, with half of them being affordable properties.
