FriendsFest coming to Clapham
A festival dedicated to the popular 1990s sitcom Friends will be returning to London later in the year, and this time the location will be in Clapham.
FriendsFest provides the many fans of the US show with a chance to visit recreations of its sets, including the two apartments lived in by the main characters and the Central Perk coffee house. They are able to have photographs taken in front of these sets, while famous scenes from the long-running series are performed to help make the photos even more special.
This festival has visited the capital on several previous occasions, but this time it is part of a tour of the country. The venue for its stop-off in London is set to be Clapham Common and places that provide banner printing are often used by organisers of festivals like this, so fans are pointed in the right direction.
Another highlight of the latest FriendsFest will be the chance to act out a recreation of the sitcom’s title sequence. Umbrellas will be made available to those attending so that they can mug through the scenes with their own friends or family. There will also be drinks and food inspired by the show and classic episodes being shown on a big screen throughout the festival.
