Clapham to host Race for Life again this year
The annual Race for Life, which is put together by the largest cancer charity in the UK, will be taking place at a variety of locations again this year, with Clapham set to be among them.
Cancer Research UK organises these events, which are marking their 30th anniversary this year. In that three-decade period, over 10 million women, men and children have taken part in Race for Life events as a way of raising money to finance the search for a cancer cure. They take place in most parts of the country, and the Clapham event will be held on Clapham Common.
People of any age are eligible to enter, and there will be four different races for them to choose from. There is a 10k run for those who are up for it, as well as 5k and 3k ones, along with the Pretty Muddy Kids run for youngsters. All races will take place on the Common.
One of the ways in which charities spread the word about activities like Race for Life is through items such as promotional pens, and there are print shops in Clapham that can supply these.
All of the money raised through the sponsorship of Race for Life entrants is spent on researching cures and treatments for cancer.
The Clapham Race for Life 2024 will be held on 25th May.
