Clapham to get new restaurant and bar
A new venue combining a restaurant, bar and distillery will be opening imminently in Clapham, at a site that used to be home to a department store.
It will be called Botanica Hall, and will be the latest launch for a company behind other successful venues in the capital. These include Ealing’s Teatro Hall, Hackney’s Martello Hall and Brixton’s Canova Hall.
Like them, it will provide a restaurant that is open all day, combined with a bar for drinks after hours and a distillery that produces vodka.
The food on offer will mostly be Italian-style cuisine, with pizzas cooked in a traditional coal-fired oven and various pasta-based dishes. Among the popular meals on the menu at the other venues are the Queen Bee Pizza and Tartufo tagliatelle.
The chosen site for this new eatery is the Grade II listed former Arding & Hobbs store at Clapham Junction. This building was most recently home to a branch of the Debenhams retail chain, but has been empty since its closure.
Given the popularity of Italian cuisine, Botanica Hall seems sure to be a big hit among the locals. However, promotional products from Clapham shops can still be utilised to ensure a successful launch.
