Clapham gets new post office
Clapham has now got a brand new post office, just over one year after the previous facility in the district closed its doors for good.
The new one is situated on Clapham Park Road and offers a far more up to date experience than its predecessor. It has been given a modern design with open-plan layout and will provide local people with a range of services. They will be able to use the post office for withdrawing money, paying bills and changing foreign currencies, in addition to standard letter and parcel postage services.
It was given its grand opening by the Clapham and Brixton Hill MP, Bell Ribeiro-Addy. The postmasters for the branch will be the Shah family, who have a lot of experience at running post offices. They first began to do so back in 1987.

Speaking to Your Local Guardian, Ribeiro-Addy stated that residents had suffered due to the closure of the previous post office. She then added:
The earlier office was based on Clapham Common and shut down during March of 2024.
