An annual event will return to an art gallery in Bath.
Based in the Sydney Pleasure Gardens, Bath’s Holburne Museum has the distinction of being the Somerset city’s first ever art gallery. Now, a yearly event at the venue has announced its welcome return, despite fears the pandemic may have forced its cancellation.
Every year, the friends of the gallery present a pop-up garden. The fundraising event is dedicated to encouraging support for the gallery’s educational work. Museums and galleries can sometimes use brochure printing services to create informative leaflets for visitors to browse, helping them to learn about artworks on show.
Last year saw the fundraiser unable to take place due to government restrictions for social distancing, but this summer the plant sale is making a comeback. The occasion will unite some of the finest plant nurseries around Bath and its surrounds, tempting attendees to make a purchase for a good cause.
The event will also feature stalls selling produce made at home and high-quality second-hand Books. A café will be set up outside packed with tea and treats, while green-fingered experts will be present on the day to offer their advice.
The sale will take place at the museum on Great Pulteney St in Bathwick, Bath on Sunday, May 9 between 10:00 am and 2:30 pm.
