YTL Hotels is behind the project and around 150 jobs will be created. The venue, which will feature nearly 100 rooms, is to be located within the city centre. Printing services in Bath may be contacted to help showcase what the establishment will offer its guests.
The accommodation has opted to make dining quality a central part of its offer. As a result, the management has elected to enter into a partnership with a chef who has been the recipient of a Michelin star.
Chef Johann Lafer has commented:
“I learned very early on to have great respect for food and even today, the quality of the products and greatest care during preparation are the guiding principles for my cuisine – as well as natural individual creativity.”
The hotel will also offer a range of spa-related amenities to its guests. These will include steam rooms, saunas, treatment rooms, a fitness centre and a cold chamber. In addition, a bath house and a glass atrium will contribute to the overall design.
Three historic buildings will be used to house all the features of the hotel. The facades of these structures have been given Graded II listed status and one of the buildings dates back to Elizabethan times. The hotel was meant to have opened over a year ago.
