Charity invites athletes to attend half-marathon

A cancer charity is urging runners to support its efforts in an upcoming half-marathon in Bath.

The UK wing of the Brain Tumour Charity is now encouraging runners of all skill levels from rookie to racer to help them support cancer sufferers across the country. The charity has put out a call for all interested in taking part to form a team and join its “The Brainy Bunch.” In return, the charity pledges to offer advice and guidance, from tips on training to methods for successful fundraising.

Individuals running on behalf of the Brain Tumour Charity will also receive a running vest free from the organisation so they can show who they are supporting in the footrace. Charities and other non-profit organisations can sometimes spread the word of their campaigns using colourful leaflets produced by professional flyer printing services.

The 13.1-mile-long course offers flat terrain for runners and covers both sides of the Avon before finishing in Bath’s historic Great Pulteney Street, renowned for being among the broadest Georgian era boulevards in the whole of Europe.

The Bath Half Marathon will take place between 9:30 am and 3:30 pm on Sunday, September 5. Registration for runners in the event is priced at £30 per person, with a minimum sponsorship amount of at least £300 for those running in supporting the Brain Tumour Charity.
