Bath welcomes Woman in Black

The West End play 'The Woman In Black' is presently on tour and due to give a series of performances in Bath in mid-March.

This production of Susan Hill's ghost story, an adaptation by Stephen Mallatratt, was widely acclaimed by the critics. Audiences are presented with an evening of drama transporting them into a world of supernatural occurrences with a film noir horror feel.

The plot involves a lawyer, Arthur Kipps, who is fixated on a curse that he believes to be cast over his entire family by the spectral figure of the title. He employs a young sceptical actor to assist in telling this frightening tale, thereby exorcising his fears.

Everything starts off quite innocently, but as the pair enter into his dark past the distinction between reality and fantasy soon becomes blurred. Malcolm James is in the lead role of Arthur Kipps with Mark Hawkins as the actor and the director is Robin Herford.

The play ran at London's Fortune Theatre for 33 years, with over 7 million people having lived through the experience.

Tickets range in price from £10.50 to £45.50 inclusive of a commission fee. Brochure printing can be a valuable resource when it comes to the promotion of a stage and theatrical event.

'The Women in Black' will take place between Monday 11th March and Saturday 16th March at the Theatre Royal, Bath.
