The Plans submitted by the college also include removing revolving doors of the Roper Building, boundary wall changes, new Signs, lighting and additional foliage for the roof. This development is a part of the Avon Street college’s long term ambitions, which are outlined in the application to Bath and North East Somerset Council:
"The Bath College aspiration is to become a centre of excellence, attracting the best people in the industry to teach at the facility and to give students the best opportunity to progress into a successful catering career.”
The outdated Roper Building’s revolving doors will be replaced with an entranceway of black zinc and glass. This will lead from the city street to a new bistro-style restaurant associated with the catering school, designed to raise its profile.
The ground floor conversion will adapt the newly gained space into a working kitchen and allocate additional areas to Bath College’s reception and main entrance.
Buildings undergoing development can use poster printing services to create signage alerting the public to any access changes.
The college Plans also indicate aesthetic improvements to the building exterior, including LED-lit window Boxes and updating plants situated on the roof.
The intended decision date for the application is currently set for August 14 and comments pertaining to the Plans can be submitted until July 19.Get a Free Quote for Boxes Get a Free Quote for Signs Get a Free Quote for Plans
