The idea is
that the football club should be governed by one vote per member. The first stage in the process will involve dealing with debts, but there will be much more work to do. Coordination may require the production of leaflets and local leaflet printing might be handy for those behind the Big Bath City Bid (BBCB). The BBCB team made a statement:
“We look forward to seeing the results of the club’s feasibility study currently underway and are keen to work constructively with the Board of Bath City FC to ensure that the redevelopment process is in line with best practice and that the finished product is the best possible for our club and our city.”
The chair of BBCB has moved on, but not before share pledges in excess of £300,000 had been made. Chairperson Jon Bickley chose to leave the organisation to concentrate most of his attention on his enterprise. Despite this change of focus, Mr Bickley will work with the club to boost attendances going forward.
The BBCB will face the immediate future with an interim chairperson. Martin Powell has stepped up to the plate. He seemingly has relevant connections because he has chaired the supporters’ society of Bath City FC. The long-term plan is to have a sustainable club that contributes to the well-being of the community.
