Organisers of the event initially said that last year’s carnival could have been the last one hosted in the city. However, the team has revealed that the summer of 2017 will be graced by the colourful occasion. Printing services within Bath may receive more business as a result of the announcement.
Radiance Wellbeing is one of the sponsors of the free event and the managing director of Radiance Wellbeing, Roger Morrad, told the Bath Chronicle:
“We couldn't be happier to be involved with such a unique local event, the work Bath Carnival do all year round in our local community is so inspiring and it’s a pleasure for us to be able to support them and be a part of it.”
South American music will form just one part of the celebration. After a gap last year due to a resource issue, a party in the park is to be on the agenda once again.
The carnival schedule consists of numerous events that build up to the big day in July. A series of cultural workshops take place prior to the date. Community centres and educational institutions are to be involved in the delivery of the workshops. Participants in these sessions will be taught how to make relevant costumes and how to play percussion instruments.
