Tilley’s Bistro, which is located in the city, has just been bought by Thomas Parker and Ajay Chathley. The business partners already own a couple of Johannesburg restaurants. They acquired the bistro from David and Dawn Mott.
Leaflet printers in Bath could be used to advertise the food outlet. Nicholas Calfe, a director for property consultants Christie & Co., assisted in the sale of the place. Calfe told the Bath Chronicle:
"The building housing Tilley's Bistro was once the refectory for the monks of Bath Abbey and still has two huge original fireplaces, one of which has been dated by a historian to the 1400s. It is very unusual for a building with this history and in such a prominent position in the city of Bath.”
Calfe explained that there was plenty of interest in the bistro following the announcement that it was up for sale. As Mr and Mrs Mott had been running the place since the 1980s, their retirement left the way clear for their successors to take things forward. Chathley and Barker have made Plans to change the establishment.
The bistro will have a bar added to it. In addition, it has been revealed that letting rooms in the building is on the cards. Furthermore, the existing workers will be joined by a new member of staff from southern Africa.Get a Free Quote for Plans
