Residents of Ashton-under-Lyne are set to be able to enjoy a range of festive fun this coming Christmas, with the popular Tameside Christmas Market returning – complete with Ferris wheel and ice rink.
The fun will get underway on November 29, as 30 cabin stalls made of wood are set up next door to the main Ashton-under-Lyne market, and the following day will see the launch of the Christmas Market marked with brass band music, Christmas carol singing, a parade with lanterns, and a stunning display of fireworks.
This is just the beginning though, as the 2nd of December will witness a synthetic ice skating rink opened to the public, with the official unveiling coming courtesy of the popular character Princess Elsa, from the movie Frozen.
The skating rink and additional Ferris wheel are certain to prove hugely popular attractions with those living in the town, especially with the backing of poster printing from the Print companies in Ashton-under-Lyne, to make sure that they know all about it before the grand launch.
The initial Christmas Market in 2013, proved to be a roaring success – with thousands of people attending it – and this has led to the 2014 one being extended to three weeks, until December 21.
Those organising it are now in the hunt for dancers and musicians based locally, to provide entertainment, and they are encouraging local people to get involved in activities like lantern-making.Get a Free Quote for Print
