The live tribute band Grunge Type Thing, based in the North West of England, is due to play a gig in Ashton-under-Lyne in mid-August.
This four-man outfit, founded in 2025, is dedicated to reproducing what is also known as the Seattle sound, with its strong vocals, raw genuine tones and forceful rhythms. Indeed, they constitute an authentic tribute act paying homage to a revolutionary period in the history of popular music.
The group recreates the distinctive atmosphere of the city's basements, clubs, and festivals, where Grunge was first played. They perform an energetic 90-minute set that includes a repertoire of classics encompassing ground-breaking tracks from such famous artists as Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Alice in Chains and Stone Temple Pilots, plus many others.
This show should be of interest to broad spectrum of people, from original fans of Grunge and those eager to learn more about the music to those just looking for a good evening's entertainment. It will be a night of celebrating loud guitars and big riffs, all laden with nostalgia.
Tickets cost £12.50 or £15.00 on the door. Print shops can prove to be a most effective resource when it comes to preparing for a future concert or musical event.
Grunge Type Thing's gig has a starting time of 8.30 pm on Saturday 15th August at The Witchwood, Ashton-under-Lyne.
