The largest event open to the general public could be set to come to a site near Ashton-under-Lyne, with the news that Greater Manchester will bid for Expo 2025.
The event, more often referred to as the World’s Fair, is a huge exhibition featuring displays from all over the world. The local council is bidding £1 billion for the right to host it on a site at Ashton Moss. Should it prove successful, the event could surpass the likes of the Commonwealth Games in Manchester in terms of numbers of visitors.
The Expo event lasts for six months and sees the finest cultural, manufacturing and technological innovations from around the globe showcased. It also has a long-standing reputation of boosting the host city’s international profile, with places such as Milan and Shanghai among those that have benefited from it in recent times.
Already it has been estimated that roughly 20 million visitors would hit areas of Greater Manchester like Ashton-under-Lyne, if the event were to be held there. It would also be likely to enrich the area’s economy by billions, lead to transport link improvements and provide jobs for thousands of local people.
If the council did succeed in securing the event, it would be able to use places that offer Logo Design to help create a logo for the event.Get a Free Quote for Logo Design
