From power slams to sleeper holds and turnbuckle throws, expect high-octane action when EPW American Wrestling comes to town early next year.
Taking place just a 10-minute drive from Ashton-under-Lyne, EPW will host three hours to family-friendly entertainment.
Many who grew up in the 1990s and 2000s have an affinity with American pro wrestling, having been brought up with feuds involving the likes of Hulk Hogan, Ultimate Warrior and Randy Savage. Later, wrestlers such as The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin and Triple H came to the fore with their own all-attitude style. Despite many wrestling promotions being based in the United States, this brand of ‘sports entertainment’ has a huge UK following, and has even sold out Wembley, the national stadium.
Thanks to grassroots promoters such as EPW, pro wrestling can be enjoyed up close and personal in an intimate setting. The historic Hyde Town Hall can hold up to 350 people, meaning fans will have an excellent view of the action.
The event takes place on Saturday, February 10, 2024, from 7-10pm at Hyde Town Hall. Due to the limited capacity, fans are advised to book early.
Tickets are priced from £7.20 and can be purchased from Eventbrite. There are also VIP Ringside Plus seats available that offer a free backstage pass and show momento, advertised by EPW's poster printing.
