Blondie tribute act secures Ashton-under-Lyne date

One of the leading tribute bands, Blondish, is embarking on a series of shows, and is due to play a gig in Ashton-under-Lyne at the beginning of March.

The original group was a major musical force, with some of the best New Wave musicians of the 1970s/1980s within its ranks. This five-piece outfit consists Céline, Tom, Cris, Gregg and Damon, who endeavour to recreate that era. Their lead singer, Céline (Debbie Harry) has been a vocalist for 13 years, is a graduate of the Paris Conservatoire and was previously a member of Keep Me Posted.

Indeed, they are all first class musicians, who use their considerable experience to focus on the detail, and to deliver an authentic sound on stage. Their performances do justice to the New York band's legacy, and should appeal to a broad spectrum of people, both long time fans and newcomers.

The set from Blondish includes such well known Blondie tracks as 'Heart of Glass', 'Atomic', 'One Way Or Another', 'Sunday Girl', 'Denis', 'Hanging On The Telephone', 'The Tide Is High' and a host of others.

Tickets cost £12.50 in advance and £15.00 on the door. Printing services can be of assistance when it comes to the promotion of a musical concert or event.

The gig will begin at 8.30 pm on Saturday 7th March at The Witchwood, Ashton-under-Lyne.
