Ashton-under-Lyne to anticipate the arrival of mod tribute group

The band Pure Weller, a tribute to the music of Paul Weller, The Jam and The Style Council, has a gig in Ashton-under-Lyne towards the end of February.

This Yorkshire-based outfit formed in 2019, after playing informally at a nearby recording studio. Proud of their live set and presence on stage, they aim to take audiences on a musical tour spanning more than 40 years.

Pure Weller delivers both the passion and quality of Paul Weller’s extensive catalogue, dating back to his time as The Jam's frontman through to the soulful sounds of The Style Council. They also aim to capture the powerful anthems of Weller’s successful solo career.

Their set covers his greatest hits and includes 'Going Underground', and 'That’s Entertainment' by The Jam, as well as 'My Ever Changing Moods' and 'Walls Come Tumbling Down' from his time with The Style Council. On top of this, there will be solo tracks performed such as 'The Changingman'.

This show should appeal to lifelong fans as well as those interested in discovering Paul Weller's music for the first time.

A standard tickets cost £14.00. Print shops can be of great assistance when it comes to the promotion of a concert or musical event like this one.

Pure Weller's gig has a starting time of 8.30 pm on Saturday, 21 February at The Witchwood in Ashton-under-Lyne.
