Ashton-under-Lyne revisits 'Cool Britannia'

The tribute band Britpop United, that includes in its repertoire the Manchester sound, is due to play a show in Ashton-under-Lyne in mid-December.

This live foursome from the Midlands perform all around the UK, transporting audiences back to the era of 'Cool Britannia'. They seek to replicate the energy and music of contemporary groups such as Blur, Supergrass, Oasis, Pulp, The Verve and The Stone Roses.

At the beginning of the early 90s Britpop burst onto the airwaves and dominated the charts worldwide. Indeed, the last time that guitar music had been so influential and prominent was way back in the 1960s.

The band work in tandem with many of the industry's professionals to ensure that they produce an accurate sound. No price is too much when it comes to instruments, guitars, drums, keyboards, percussion, vocals and effects, in order to render Britpop's genuine guitar led vibe.

Their playlist includes such familiar classics as 'Parklife', 'Common People', 'Don’t Look Back In Anger', 'Bitter Sweet Symphony' and 'There She Goes', Tracks that should appeal to a broad spectrum of people, both original fans and potential newcomers alike.

Tickets cost £12.00. Print shops can be of great assistance to those engaged in the promotion of a concert or musical event.

Britpop United's gig has a starting time of 8.30 pm on Saturday 13th December at The Witchwood, Ashton-under-Lyne.
