Ashton-under-Lyne pays homage to 1960s rock legends

Tribute band, The Doors Rising, is currently on tour and is due to play Ashton-under-Lyne at the end of November.

They got together in 2017 in response to an ad in a local newspaper. Although, the line-up has changed a number of times since then. It now consists of Stuart Capstick (vocals, original member), Martyn Gilbert (guitar, original member), Andy Keegan (keyboards) and Carl Rice (drums).

The band began gigging in Southport and quickly attracted a loyal group of followers, amongst those who enjoyed the psychedelic sounds of the 60s. Soon the word spread and they were performing on a regular basis all around the North West, playing the larger arenas as well as small more intimate venues.

This represents a chance for people of all ages, to travel back across the decades, and hear The Doors' music. It is an accurate recreation by dedicated fans, with authentic instrumentation, who have a definite ear for detail. They will be performing such famous hits as 'Light My Fire', 'Moonlight Drive', 'People Are Strange' and 'Riders On The Storm'.

Tickets cost £14.00 in advance and £15.00 on the night. Poster printing can be most effective when it comes to the promotion of a concert or musical event.

The Doors Rising gig has a starting time of 8.30 pm on Saturday 30th November, at The Witchwood, Ashton-under-Lyne.
