Ashton-under-Lyne’s Antonio’s Pizzeria e Restaurant received recognition in the Ashton Independent Business Awards. The establishment won the Sponsor’s Choice prize. Flyer printing can be useful in the leisure sector, especially when a business has something to shout about.
The eatery has a track record of hosting private functions, including welcoming Tameside Women in Business since the network was founded three years ago. Tony Orrell, the proprietor of the pizzeria, said:
“It’s a real honour to receive the Sponsor’s Choice Award. The launch of the awards has been a real boost for the town.”
While the pandemic has been disruptive, Orrell has continued to invest in his concern. During the course of the initial lockdown, he decided to install a special wood-burning oven for cooking pizzas.
Bromleys legal firm sponsored the awards, and Partner Paul Westwell explained that the success of the restaurant was down to its authenticity. He also paid tribute to the warmth of the atmosphere in the place.
Ashton Town Team’s chair, Kevin Taylor, noted that the awards acknowledged the local contribution of independent firms. He stated that the businesses in the town centre combined affordability with quality.
With over 1,600 nominations, the business awards attracted considerable participation from the public. With regard to the social media campaign, more than 20,000 engagements were recorded.
